Workshop Update!

I've made a few changes!

After working in my new workshop...I noticed a few problems!

Even though I really liked this table...it just wasn't working out.
Putting it up against the wall was a bad idea! I didn't have enough light to work, and the stainless steel top was always cold, and whenever I would work on it...it would move and make noise...it was kinda creepy!

So, I decided to confiscate our old kitchen table. I figured we could use a new table in the kitchen, since this one has so many dings and gouges, and permanent stains from markers and crayons from my granddaughter Faith. It's actually perfect for what I need...it has plenty of work space and it's strudy! I also made sure I put it under the ceiling fan so I would have plenty of light!
I love it!

I also moved my wheel...to make room for my new wedging table. A few weeks ago my husband came home with some kind of desk...that he bought for $20.00! I'm not really sure what it is, it's about 38 or 39 inches tall, kind of tall for a desk, and the top curves...it's a little weird, but he's going to fix it! He's gonna put a new top. It's going to get a nice fresh coat of creamy white paint, and my husband is going to cut the legs down to 36 inches!
After it's done we'll cover it with canvas!

This is where my wheel is now!

Moved my slab roller to the wall...where the metal table use to be!

And I made a few extra shelves, using some wood my husband had, and some extra kiln posts...it works great! I have more shelf space...and it's adjustable. I think the changes I made definitely made my workshop function better!
Now I can't wait for my wedging table!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. It couldn't be coming along any better. I'm thrilled to see coming together.
